Access Server has also integrated well with their distributed, fully-virtual environment. “We use Access Server to help us access AWS Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) which is our production environment,” says Nancy. “[Access Server provides] a nice way for us to securely access AWS remotely. We are a globally distributed company, and everyone works virtually.”
As Lacuna’s needs began to increase, Access Server supported that growth. “We chose Access Server because we’d used OpenVPN’s free service before,” Nancy says, “And we needed additional licenses to support the growing needs of our company.”

We asked Nancy why ease of management is such an important factor for Lacuna. “We currently use OpenVPN [Access Server] to manage access to our production environment,” she says. “Having a tool that [allows us to] easily control who has access, view who has actively used it, and disable access when necessary is very important to our productivity and security.”
