Set DNS Records

Abstract

Configure DNS records in CloudConnexa to control how domain names resolve to IPv4 and/or IPv6 addresses for resources in your WPC.

CloudConnexa allows you to define DNS records for both public and private domains. When a domain matches a configured record, CloudConnexa's proxy DNS servers use that record for resolution instead of forwarding the request to upstream DNS servers.

Add a DNS record

To add a DNS record, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Settings → DNS.

  2. Click the DNS Records tab.

  3. Click Add Record.

  4. Enter the following:

    • Domain name.

    • One or more IP addresses (IPv4 and/or IPv6, depending on your configuration).

    • (Optional) Description.

  5. Click Add DNS Record.

Notes

  • DNS records override upstream DNS resolution for matching domains.

  • Ensure that configured IP addresses align with your selected IP Allocation Versions.

  • Use DNS records to control resolution for internal services or override public DNS when needed.
