Abstract

New to CloudConnexa? This guide covers everything you need as a user — connecting your devices to your company's secure network, managing your connection profile, using the User Portal, and getting the OpenVPN Connect app.

CloudConnexa lets you securely access your organization's applications and online resources from your device, whether you're in the office, at home, or on the go.

To connect, you'll use the OpenVPN Connect app on your device. Follow the three steps below to get set up.

How to get connected

Your administrator will provide you with your User Portal URL. For example, your-organization.openvpn.com.

  1. Open your User Portal URL in a browser.

  2. Sign in with the credentials provided by your administrator.

  3. Follow the Get Connected instructions displayed on the page. These are tailored to your organization and walk you through downloading OpenVPN Connect, importing your connection profile, and connecting your device.

Tip

How you're prompted for credentials when connecting depends on your User Group's Connect Auth setting, which is configured by your administrator.

User portal

Once signed in, you can also use the User Portal to manage connected devices, reset your password, and view connection details.

The User Portal is the web interface where users manage their devices and download their Connection Profile. It also provides instructions for installing OpenVPN Connect and accessing resources. The User Portal is accessed using your Cloud ID, for example: https://acme.openvpn.com.

A Connection Profile is a configuration file that contains the certificates and settings required to connect a device to a WPC. It's commonly referred to as a .ovpn file, OVPN profile, or CloudConnexa profile.
