The openvpn-connector-setup tool configures the OpenVPN 3 Linux client to connect as a Connector. This utility uses the Host Connector's token to download its configuration profile and complete the configuration.

By default, this tool will:

  • Download a connection profile.

  • Configure the profile to be used at boot time

  • Connect to CloudConnexa and ensure that it reconnects on reboot.

The Connector integrated with Cockpit also uses the connection profile token. For more information, refer to Tutorial: Use the Linux OpenVPN 3 Connector integrated with Cockpit.

You can get the Connector's profile for an existing Host from the Connectors tab shown in the detailed view as shown in View, make changes, and delete a Host, or you can obtain it from the Connectors list as shown below:

  1. Navigate to Hosts > Connectors.

  2. Click the Deploy deploy_icon.png button for the Connector from the list.

  3. Select Copy .ovpn Profile Token from the drop-down menu.

  4. Click Copy to copy the token to your clipboard.

Later, paste it into your terminal to use with the openvpn-connector-setup command to setup the Connector on Linux OS.
