Migrate Existing Cyber Shield Settings to Shield Policies
When Shield Policies are released for your CloudConnexa WPC, your existing Cyber Shield settings automatically migrate to the Default Policy with no change to filtering behavior — all User Groups remain on the Default Policy until you create and assign custom policies.
Overview
When Shield Policies become available, CloudConnexa will automatically migrate your existing Cyber Shield settings to the Default Policy. Your existing filtering configuration is preserved, and all User Groups initially use the Default Policy.
No action is required. Your filtering behavior doesn't change as a result of the migration.

What happens to your existing configuration
During the automatic migration:
Your existing Cyber Shield configuration becomes the Default Policy.
Your existing Domain Filtering and Traffic Filtering settings are preserved.
All User Groups use the Default Policy.
Your filtering behavior is unchanged.
The Default Policy acts as the catch-all policy for User Groups that aren't assigned to a custom policy. It also continues to provide Cyber Shield filtering for Networks and Hosts.

Note
You don't need to create custom Shield Policies to maintain your existing Cyber Shield protection. Your migrated settings continue to apply through the Default Policy.
Create custom policies when you're ready
After the migration, you can continue using only the Default Policy for as long as you want.
When you want different User Groups to use different Cyber Shield protection, create custom policies and assign the appropriate User Groups to them. User Groups that you don't assign to a custom policy continue using the Default Policy.
To get started:
Review your migrated configuration from the Shield Policies list. Refer to Browse and Manage Shield Policies.
Create a custom policy when you're ready to configure different protection for specific User Groups. Refer to Create or Edit a Shield Policy.
Assign the appropriate User Groups to the custom policy. Refer to Assign User Groups to a Shield Policy.
