Browse and Manage Shield Policies
Browse and manage Shield Policies in CloudConnexa from Shield → Policies — view Domain Filtering, Traffic Filtering, Allow/Block List counts, and User Group assignments per policy, and create, edit, duplicate, or search policies from the list.
Overview
Use the Shield Policies list to view and manage the Cyber Shield policies configured for your WPC.
The list includes the Default Policy and any custom Shield Policies. From this page you can:
Review Domain Filtering and Traffic Filtering status.
See Allow List and Block List counts.
View how many User Groups use each policy.
Edit or duplicate a policy.
Copy a policy ID for use with the CloudConnexa API or Terraform.
Create a new Shield Policy.
Search the policy list.

Open the Shield Policies list
To open the Shield Policies list:
Sign in to your WPC's Administration portal.
Navigate to Shield → Policies.
The Shield Policies page displays one row for each policy.
Review Shield Policy details
The Shield Policies list includes the following columns:
Column | Description |

Policy | Displays the policy name and description. The Default Policy includes a System badge because it's created and managed by CloudConnexa and can't be deleted. |
Domain Filtering | Displays the number of content categories being monitored and blocked, or Off when Domain Filtering is disabled for the policy. Refer to Domain Filtering. |
Traffic Filtering | Displays the number of traffic categories being monitored and blocked, or Off when Traffic Filtering is disabled for the policy. Refer to Traffic Filtering |
Allow / Block List | Displays the number of entries in the policy's Allow List and Block List. |
User Groups | Displays the number of User Groups assigned to the policy. Select the count to view the group names and access the option to manage those assignments. Refer to About User Groups and View policies for a User Group. |
Note
Networks and Hosts always use the Default Policy. Custom Shield Policies apply only to User Groups.
Search Shield Policies
To filter the Shield Policies list:
Enter a policy name or other search term in Search policies.
Review the filtered results.
The list updates as you type.
View additional policies
When more than 20 policies exist, select Load more to display additional policies.
Edit a Shield Policy
To change an existing policy:
Locate the policy in the Shield Policies list.
Select Edit.
Update the policy settings.
Save your changes.
Duplicate a Shield Policy
Use Duplicate policy when you want to create a new policy based on the settings of an existing one.
To duplicate a policy:
Locate the policy you want to copy.
Select the Duplicate policy icon.
Update the copied policy as needed.
Save the new policy.
Tip
Duplicating a policy can be useful when multiple User Groups need similar Domain Filtering, Traffic Filtering, or Allow List and Block List settings with only minor differences.
Copy a Shield Policy ID
Each Shield Policy has a unique identifier.
To copy it:
Locate the policy.
Hover over the name.
The clipboard icon displays.
Select Copy ID to clipboard.
Use the copied policy ID when working with the CloudConnexa API or Terraform.

Create a Shield Policy
To create a new custom policy:
Select New Policy.
Configure the policy settings.
Assign the appropriate User Groups.
Save the policy.
