The Internet of Things (IoT) means everyday objects, such as smart plugs, lightbulbs, locks, coffee machines, and motion sensors can connect to the internet and create a copious amount of data. One of the key IoT security issues is the expansion of attack surfaces — increasing IoT devices means the attack surface expands with every new internet-connected device.
