Select malicious traffic to block based on threat categories

Abstract

You can configure Traffic Filtering (IPS) to block malicious traffic matching threat signatures of different threat categories.

You can configure Traffic Filtering (IPS) to block malicious traffic matching threat signatures of different threat categories instead of blocking by the severity of the threat. To learn more about the threat categories, refer to Traffic Filtering Priorities, Categories, and Protection Levels

To select the threat categories to block, follow the steps below:

  2. Navigate to Shield > Configuration.

  3. Click Categories in the section navigation that appears to the right under Traffic Filtering.

  4. Select the desired threat categories from the list under the Selected Categories section.

  5. Click Update.
