DNS Servers

What is it?

This configuration item allows the Administrator to use different public or private DNS servers instead of the default DNS servers provided by CloudConnexa for domain name resolution.

Who should use this?

An Administrator should use this to configure primary and secondary DNS servers.

When should I make use of this?

If the application services being accessed by WPC endpoints are using domain names that cannot be resolved by public DNS servers, private DNS servers should be used. For example, if a web server is addressed by intraweb.mycompany.net and it can be resolved to a private IP address only by the company’s internal DNS servers, then the IP addresses of those private DNS servers should be configured on order for the lookups to work while connected to the WPC.
