Install OpenVPN Connect on iOS
Install the VPN client OpenVPN Connect on an iOS device and connect to a VPN server.
Overview
Install OpenVPN Connect on iOS devices for use with OpenVPN servers. This applies to the OpenVPN open-source project and other VPN services that use the OpenVPN protocol.
Prerequisites
An iOS device (iPhone or iPad) running a supported version of iOS.
Access to an OpenVPN server or a connection profile from a VPN provider using the OpenVPN protocol.
A valid VPN configuration file or connection URL.
Installation steps
Download and install the OpenVPN Connect app:
Open the App Store on your iOS device.
Search for OpenVPN Connect.
Tap the Get button to download and install the app.
Open the app:
Once the installation is complete, open the OpenVPN Connect app.
Review and agree to the data usage policy.
Import a VPN profile:
The Import Profile screen will appear when you first open the app.
You can import your profile by doing one of the following:
Import from a file: If you have a
.ovpnprofile file, upload it to the app using iCloud, Dropbox, or another cloud service.Import from a URL: If your VPN provider provides a connection URL, enter it to import the profile.
Import from a VPN provider: Some VPN providers allow direct profile imports through their apps or services.
Connect to the VPN:
After importing the profile, you can now connect to the VPN server by selecting the profile and tapping Connect.
If prompted, allow OpenVPN Connect to create VPN configurations on your device.
Once connected, the VPN status shows as active.

Before you begin
Find the invitation email sent by your CloudConnexa administrator. This email includes your invitation to join CloudConnexa and your CloudID, Username, and Temporary Password. If you don't have that email, ask your CloudConnexa administrator for help.
Install the app and connect to your CloudConnexa
To connect to your CloudConnexa environment, follow these steps:
Install the OpenVPN Connect app from the App Store.
Wait until the download and installation are complete, then open the app.
Agree to the data usage policy.
The Import Profile screen displays.
For the URL, enter the CloudID from your invitation email and tap Next.
Enter your Username and Temporary password from your invitation email and tap Sign In.
The Change Password screen displays.
Enter a new password and confirm it.
Accept the Terms of Service and tap Change Password.
If the Select Region screen displays, select your desired region.
The Imported Profile screen displays.
Tap Connect.
You're connected, and OpenVPN Connect displays connection stats.

Before you begin
Ensure you have a username and password to connect to Access Server. If you don't have one, contact your Access Server administrator.
Install the app and connect to Access Server
Install the OpenVPN Connect app from the App Store.
Wait until the download and installation are complete, then open the app.
Agree to the data usage policy.
The Import Profile screen displays.
Enter the Client Web UI address and tap Next.
Enter the username and password and tap Import.
The profile displays on the app screen.
Tap on the profile to connect.
Alternate installation: import from file
You can also import a profile from file by navigating to the Client Web UI in a browser on your mobile device, signing in, and clicking on the available connection profile link.
