Edit a Profile
How to edit a profile in OpenVPN Connect, our free VPN client mobile app.
To edit a profile on your device:
Tap or click to open the Menu.
Tap or click My Profiles.
Find the profile to edit from the list and tap or click on the Edit icon.
The profile parameters display.
Note
If you have an active connection with this profile, the message will display, "This profile is connected." You can't edit a profile with an active connection.
Tip
On the edit screen, you can change certain parameters, depending on your profile type, such as:
Profile Name: Give the profile a name that displays in the app. The default is the username at the server domain.
Server Override: (Optional) Manually enter a value to override the Server Hostname field populated above.
Proxy: Include a proxy when connecting. This requires creating a separate proxy configuration.
Tap or click Save Changes.
