Video: Application Domain-Based Routing Segments Your Network

Abstract

This video shows how Application Domain-Based Routing hides the private IP addresses of your connected network and application servers. Application Domain-Based Routing and Access Groups segment your network, preventing lateral movement. No routes exist to your private network; therefore, probing using IP addresses is impossible.

This video shows how Application Domain-Based Routing hides the private IP addresses of your connected network and application servers. Application Domain-Based Routing and Access Groups segment your network, preventing lateral movement. No routes exist to your private network; therefore, probing using IP addresses is impossible.

Applications can be reached only by their domain names and only if authorized by access groups creating per-app micro network segments.

Description

This video shows Applications configured for a connected Network and using a per-app firewall to only allow authorized protocols and ports to access the applications. Access Groups are also configured.

The video demonstrates that the connected network's private IP addresses are not used as routes and access to applications is facilitated with an intermediary IP address.
