Add an Access Group

Abstract

Follow the steps in this guide to add an access group in the CloudConnexa administration portal.

Note

For Access Groups to take effect, the Topology of the WPC must be set to Custom. Refer to Changing WPC Topology

Follow these steps to add an Access Group:

  1. Sign in to the CloudConnexa administration portal at https://cloud.openvpn.com.

  2. Navigate to Access.

  3. Click Add Access Group.

  4. Provide a Group Name and, optionally, an Access Group Description.

  5. Expand/Collapse and search the Hosts, Networks, and User Groups sections in the Source column to find the entity that you want to give access to.

  6. Click on the check boxes of the source entities to select.

  7. Expand/Collapse and search the Hosts, Networks, and User Groups sections in the Destination column to find the resources you want access to be granted. You will see an Applications shared with you section as a Destination if you have accepted access to shared applications using AppHub.

  8. Click on the check boxes of destination resources to select.

  9. Click Add Access Group.

Warning

After adding an Access Group, delete the Default Full Mesh Access Group if it exits. The continued presence of the Default Full Mesh Access Group will make other Access Groups ineffective.

The tutorial below shows an example of providing access to Application 'control' for User Group 'student.' In addition, it shows the deletion of the 'default full mesh access group' and updating the WPC Topology to 'Custom.'
