Access Server subscription licenses manage your VPN connections with the flexibility to scale them up or down as you need. This page steps you through purchasing and activating a subscription license key on our site. We strive to support you with the benefits offered through our pricing model:

We retain our economical and meaningful charging model based on the needed number of simultaneous VPN connections.
While other business VPNs may charge based on the number of CPU cores or the bandwidth of the server, our model focuses on actual VPN connections consumed.
Subscriptions are cloud-friendly and streamlined, support automated renewals, and maximize your VPN usage.

This tutorial shows you how to activate subscription license keys from the command-line interface (CLI).

Managing subscriptions for Access Server can be done through both the Admin Web UI and the command-line interface (CLI). While the Admin Web UI offers a user-friendly approach, the command-line interface gives advanced users more direct control over subscription activation and management. This tutorial will guide you through activating and removing subscriptions via the command line.

Sign in to the Access Server Hub or create an account.
Select Subscriptions.
- Current keys display here if you have any.
Select the option to purchase or create a subscription.
Choose the number of VPN connections and billing option appropriate for your deployment.
Complete the subscription setup.
Copy the activation key.

If you already have an available Access Server subscription, copy its activation key instead.

Connect to your console and get root privileges.
Switch to the scripts directory:
```
cd /usr/local/openvpn_as/scripts/
```
Activate your subscription:
```
./sacli -v "InsertTheSubscriptionActivationKeyHere" LoadSubscription
```
1. Ensure you paste your subscription license key here to replace the text.
Verify that it works:
```
./sacli SubscriptionStatus
```

Connect to your console and get root privileges.
Switch to the scripts directory:
```
cd /usr/local/openvpn_as/scripts/
```
Remove your subscription:
```
./sacli DeactivateSubscription
```
