Can I disable the connection notification sound?

On some Android devices, a connection notification sound is played by Android whenever a VPN tunnel is established, and cannot be silenced by a non-root app.

Note that it is possible to reduce the frequency of these notifications by going to the Preferences menu and selecting the Seamless Tunnel option.
