First time connecting to Access Server with OpenVPN Connect
Are you getting connected to Access Server with OpenVPN Connect? This tutorial shows you the steps to get up and running as a user.
This tutorial shows you how to:
Sign in to the Client Web UI.
Download OpenVPN Connect with a bundled connection profile.
Launch the app and get connected.
Before you begin
To follow this tutorial, you need Access Server set up and a user account for yourself. If you don't have these things, contact your administrator. You'll also need to know the domain or IP address for the Client Web UI and your credentials for signing in.
To start, you need to sign in to the Client Web UI:
Open a browser and enter the URL for the Client Web UI.
Tip
The Client Web UI URL is the IP address or hostname of the server hosting Access Server.
The User Login screen displays.
Enter your username and password and click Sign In.
Note
If you're using SAML authentication, click Sign In via SAML and authenticate with the IdP.
The page displays downloads for OpenVPN Connect and some user options.
Click on the icon to download the recommended version of OpenVPN Connect for your device.
Wait for the download to complete, then install OpenVPN Connect.
Tip

Once you've finished the installation steps for your OS, launch the app.
Click through the tutorial and agree to the EULA.
You've installed OpenVPN Connect and it includes a connection profile for your user to connect with Access Server.
Now that you've installed OpenVPN Connect with a bundled profile, it's easy to connect to Access Server:
Launch OpenVPN Connect.
Click on your profile.
If prompted, enter your password.
You're connected and OpenVPN Connect displays connection statistics.
