How to Install OpenVPN Connect on macOS
Install OpenVPN Connect on macOS by following the steps for the product you're connecting with.
This installation guide provides the steps to install OpenVPN Connect with OpenVPN servers. This includes the OpenVPN open-source project or other VPN services using the OpenVPN protocol.
Install the app and connect to a server
Download the OpenVPN Connect app from our website.
Wait until the download completes, then open it.
Select the installer for your device (mac with Intel processor or mac with Apple chip).
Click Continue when the installer window opens.
Agree to the EULA and install.
When prompted, enter your device password to install.
Click Close when the installation completes.
You're prompted if you want to move the installation file to the trash; you can click Move to Trash.
From your Applications, click the OpenVPN Connect icon to launch the app.

Before you Begin
Find the invitation email sent by your CloudConnexa administrator. This email includes your invitation to join CloudConnexa and your CloudID, Username, and Temporary Password. If you don't have that email, ask your CloudConnexa administrator for help.
Install the app and connect to your CloudConnexa
To connect to your CloudConnexa account, follow these steps:
Download the OpenVPN Connect app from our website or the link in your invitation email.
Wait until the download completes, then open it.
Select the installer for your device (mac with Intel processor or mac with Apple chip).
Click Continue when the installer window opens.
Agree to the EULA and install.
When prompted, enter your device password to install.
Click Close when the installation completes.
You're prompted if you want to move the installation file to the trash; you can click Move to Trash.
From your Applications, click the OpenVPN Connect icon to launch the app.
Click through the tutorial and agree to the EULA.
Click to add a new profile.
On the Import Profile window, select URL and enter the CloudID from your invitation email.
Enter your Username and Temporary password from your invitation email.
At the prompt, enter a new password and confirm it.
Accept the Terms of Service and click Change Password.
Select your desired region if prompted.
Click Connect.

Ensure you have a username and password to connect to Access Server. If you don't have one, contact your Access Server administrator.
Install the app from the Client Web UI and connect to Access Server
Open a browser and navigate to your Access Server Client Web UI.
Sign in with your username and password.
Click on the macOS icon.
Wait until the download completes, then open it.
Select the installer for your device (mac with Intel processor or mac with Apple chip).
Click Continue when the installer window opens.

Tip
The URL for your Client Web UI is the hostname or IP address of your Access Server. Ask your administrator for help if you don't have that.
