Manage Devices Using CloudConnexa User Portal

Abstract

Information about managing your devices from the User Portal.

The My Devices section of the User Portal may allow you to manage the devices associated with your account. The information provided here shows all the device management actions that are possible.

Refer to CloudConnexa User Portal for information on how to sign in and navigate to the My Devices section.

Note

While all the possible actions that can be taken from the User Portal are described here, there may be specific actions you cannot carry out because of restrictions placed by your IT department.

The My Devices page may not allow device management based on restrictions placed by your IT department. Refer to My Devices Restrictions and Screenshots

Follow the steps below to add a device:

  1. Click Add Device.

  2. Provide a Device Name and, optionally, a Description.

  3. Click Add Device. The Device will be added to the list, and you can download the profile to import into the OpenVPN Connect application installed on that Device. Refer to Downloading the .ovpn Connection Profile file.

Note

It may not be possible to add a Device for two reasons:

  1. The IT department has limited the number of devices per User.

  2. The IT department wants only authorized devices to connect and has restricted Users from adding Devices.

In each case, the appropriate error message will be shown.

Follow the steps below to remove a device:

  1. Click on the vertical_dots_icon.png icon for the Device that needs to be removed.

  2. Select Remove Device from the options.

  3. A confirmation dialog will appear informing you that after deleting the Device, the Device certificate will be revoked, and the Device will be disconnected.

  4. Click Remove.

  5. The removed Device will no longer appear on the device list.

Follow the steps below to edit the information displayed about a device:

  1. Click on the pencil_icon.png icon for the Device that needs to be edited.

  2. Revise the Device Name and Description as needed.

  3. Click Update Device.

Follow the steps below to revoke the Device's digital certificate:

  1. Click on the vertical_dots_icon.pngicon for the Device whose certificate needs to be revoked.

  2. Select Revoke Profile Certificate from the options.

  3. A confirmation dialog will appear informing you that the Device certificate will be revoked and a new Profile will be generated. The Device will be disconnected, and you will be signed out from existing web sessions.

  4. Click Revoke.

Follow the steps below to download the profile for a device:

  1. Click on the download_icon.pngicon for the Device whose Connection Profile needs to be downloaded.

  2. Select a Region from the list shown.

    Note

    The list of Regions shown depends on what Regions are allowed for you by your IT department.

  3. Click Download.

  4. The web browser will download a .ovpn file.
