Activate two-factor authentication on VPN connection
An administrator can enable two-factor authentication for their users to add an additional layer of identity verification. Once two-factor authentication is enabled, the administrator can configure a user group to authenticate VPN connections with a profile and a password.
Once the group two-factor authentication feature is enabled, each user must follow these steps to sign in with the OpenVPN Connect app and an authenticator application code:
- Toggle the OpenVPN Cloud profile connection to on.
- Enter your username and password and click Next.
- Enter the code from your authenticator application.
- Note that if the administrator has enabled the Allow Trusted Devicesfeature, you can choose to trust your device to bypass two-factor authentication for 30 days.
