Add an Application to a Host

Abstract

A Host Application is used for access control. The Application's domain name is implicitly resolved to any of the Host Connector's tunnel IP addresses.

An Application can be added to a Host while configuring the new Host using the wizard. Refer to Add a Host to access an Application Server. A Host Application is used for access control. The Application's domain name is implicitly resolved to any of the Host Connector's tunnel IP addresses. For more information, refer to About Host Applications.

You can add an Application to an existing Host from the Applications tab shown in the detailed view as shown in View, make changes, and delete a Host, or you can add it from the Host Applications list as shown below:

Note

The Host needs to be configured with a domain name to add Applications.

  1. Navigate to Hosts > Applications.

  2. Click Add Application.

  3. Provide the Name of the Application.

  4. Optionally, provide a Description.

  5. Select a Host from the Host drop-down.

  6. Optionally, restrict the protocols allowed for accessing the Application by selecting specific Application Type (Host protocols).

  7. Optionally, provide a subdomain.

  8. Click Add Application.

Note

Remember to use the newly created Application in Access Groups. Refer to Add an Access Group to allow access.

View who is accessing this Application using Access Visibility. Refer to Find the Number of Blocked and Allowed Access Events From a Traffic Source to a Destination.
