Set private DNS servers

Abstract

CloudConnexa uses its own DNS server by default and allows you to add DNS records to it. If you prefer to use your own private DNS server, you can configure CloudConnexa to use it.

CloudConnexa uses its own DNS server by default and allows you to add DNS records to it. If you prefer to use your own private DNS server, you can configure CloudConnexa to use it.

Ensure that the IP addresses of your DNS servers are accessible when connected to your WPC. You can either configure your DNS servers as Hosts and then connect them to the WPC directly or make them accessible by connecting the private network that they are on to the WPC.

To set private DNS servers, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Settings > DNS.

  2. Click Edit, which is located in the top right corner.

  3. Select the radio button next to the Custom option in the DNS Servers section.

  4. Enter the IPv4 addresses of your Primary and Secondary DNS Servers.

  5. Click Update.

  6. Check that the details shown in the confirmation dialog box are correct, and click Confirm.
