Add an IP Service to a Host

Abstract

You can add an IP service to a Host from the IP Services tab shown in the detailed Host view, or you can add it from the IP Services list view as shown here.

An IP service can be added to a Host while configuring the new Host using the wizard. Refer to Add a Host to access an Application Server. Host IP Service is used for access control. The service's IP address is implicitly any of the Host Connector's tunnel IP addresses. For more information, refer to About Host IP Services.

You can add an IP service to an existing Host from the IP Services tab shown in the detailed view as shown in View, make changes, and delete a Host, or you can add it from the IP Services list as shown below:

  2. Navigate to Hosts > IP Services.

  3. Click Add IP Service.

  4. Provide the Name for the IP Service.

  5. Optionally, provide a Description.

  6. Select the Host for the IP Service from the Host drop-down.

  7. Optionally, restrict the protocols allowed for accessing the service by selecting specific Service Type (Host protocols).

  8. Click Add IP Service.

Note

Remember to use the newly created IP Service in Access Groups. Refer to Add an Access Group to allow access.

View who is accessing this IP Service using Access Visibility. Refer to Find the Number of Blocked and Allowed Access Events From a Traffic Source to a Destination.
