Tutorial: Updating Your Email Address in the Access Server Portal

How to change the email address for your Access Server portal account on OpenVPN.com.

Overview

Welcome to this step-by-step tutorial on updating your email address in the Access Server Portal. Follow these instructions to ensure your account information is up to date.

  • You must have an existing account on the OpenVPN Access Server Portal.

  • You need access to both your current and new email addresses.

  1. Open your web browser and go to the following URL: OpenVPN Access Server Portal.

  2. Enter your login credentials to sign in.

  1. Once signed in, locate your account name in the bottom corner.

  2. Click on your account name to open the account settings menu.

  3. Click My Account.

  1. From the My Account page, click Change Email Address for your account details.

  2. Enter your new email address in th provided field.

  3. Confirm the email address and click Save.

  4. Enter your current password when prompted.

  5. Click Confirm.

    • The message displays: "Verification email was sent"

    Tip

    Until you verify the email address change, you'll see a message, Confirmation Pending!

  1. After updating your email address, an email will be sent to the new address you provided.

  2. Open your email inbox and find the verification email from OpenVPN.

  3. Click on Accept or the verification link in the email to confirm your new email address.

  1. Clicking the email link lets you sign in again and enter a new password.

  2. Enter the password that meets the strength requirements and click Confirm Password.

    • The message, Email Change In Progress, displays.

  1. When the change completes, find the confirmation email from OpenVPN.

  2. Click on Sign In or the link to sign in with the portal using the new email address.

  3. Enter your new credentials and click Sign In.

    • Your email address is successfully updated in the Access Server Portal.

  • Didn't receive the verification email?

    • Check your spam or junk mail folder.

    • Ensure you entered the correct new email address.

  • Verification link expired?

    • Return to the account settings page and click Resend Email.
