OpenVPN Technologies Inc. announced today that it has partnered with Veritech Corporation Pty Limited to expand their OpenVPN Access Server (OpenVPN-AS) into the Australasian marketplace, plus add value for customers in this part of the world. The partnership is multifaceted and along with endorsing Veritech's innovative Veritoken, unveils an exciting future for product development.
Veritech Corporation CEO Livio Mazzon travelled to Pleasanton, California in July 2010 to meet with OpenVPN Technologies CEO Francis Dinha and introduce Veritech's innovative VPN device, the Veritoken. This meeting resulted in an all round partnership arrangement between OpenVPN and Veritech Corporation in Australia, which holds exciting future potential for VPN market development.
Veritoken is Veritech's solution for a simple, portable and secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) client device. Designed to complement any OpenVPN-based Server, the Veritoken is a USB Token device which provides an all-in-one VPN Client Solution. Adding to the client options which already come with the OpenVPN-Access Server, the Veritoken is an ideal solution for enterprises who prefer to issue their roaming users with a dual-factor authentication token.
OpenVPN-Access Server (OpenVPN-AS) is a set of installation and configuration tools that simplify the rapid deployment of a VPN remote access solution. It's based on the popular OpenVPN open-source software, making the deployed VPN immediately compatible with OpenVPN client software across multiple user platforms.
The new partnership is multi-dimensional. It allows OpenVPN to grow further in the Australian marketplace, with Veritech now distributing the OpenVPN software through their existing reseller network across Australia and New Zealand. Australian customers can now purchase the OpenVPN Access Server locally through Veritech, which provides them with the same quality product, but with easier access to local tech-support.
Additionally, Veritech will have the resources to further enhance the Veritoken, as they expand their knowledge and skills through close working relationships with OpenVPN's developers. The innovative Veritoken device is a useful add-on for the OpenVPN product range. OpenVPN Technologies Inc will endorse the Veritoken as they work closely with Veritech on redeveloping the current version so that it is closer aligned to the commercial Access Server. The result will be greater versatility and choice for end users.
Veritech CEO Livio Mazzon believes that this close working relationship provides Veritech with scope to develop future innovations with OpenVPN.
