# Connect to CloudConnexa

To connect to CloudConnexa, you need OpenVPN Connect installed on your device and a connection profile imported. If you haven't completed these steps yet, sign in to your User Portal and follow the **Get Connected** instructions there.

Your IT administrator controls whether you're prompted to authenticate every time you connect, only after a period of inactivity, or not at all.

## Connecting Without Authentication

Follow these steps to connect using OpenVPN Connect:

1. Launch OpenVPN Connect.
2. Toggle the OpenVPN Profile that you want to connect.

   The OpenVPN tunnel is connected, and you will see the **Connected** screen.

## Connecting With CloudConnexa Authentication

Follow the steps below to authenticate before connecting:

1. Launch OpenVPN Connect.
2. Toggle the OpenVPN Profile that you want to connect.

   Your default web browser will open with the authentication screen, and the Connect application will display a prompt.
3. Enter your **Username** and **Password** and click **Sign In**.

   > **Note**
   >
   > If your authentication is still valid, authentication will be skipped, and you will proceed from [Step 5](https://openvpn.net/cloud-docs/user/get-connected/connect-to-cloudconnexa/#N1697750480018).

   > **Note**
   >
   > If your password was reset and a temporary password sent, enter your username and temporary password and click **Sign In**. You will be asked to set a new password on the next page. Refer to [Authenticating with a temporary password](https://openvpn.net/cloud-docs/user/get-connected/connect-to-cloudconnexa/#bridgehead-idm4589643128561633953990582635).
4. You may be prompted to enter a 2FA code using an Authenticator application. Enter the code and click **Confirm**. Refer to [Authenticating with 2FA](https://openvpn.net/cloud-docs/user/get-connected/connect-to-cloudconnexa/#bridgehead-idm4589643216268833953992845864).

   > **Note**
   >
   > If your 2FA code was reset, you may need to configure your Authenticator application and authenticate with the 2FA code. Refer to [Configuring Authenticator App for 2FA](https://openvpn.net/cloud-docs/user/get-connected/connect-to-cloudconnexa/#bridgehead-idm4589643243382433953994142677)
5. After successful authentication, you will see **You're connected!** in the web browser.

   OpenVPN Connect will display the **Connected** screen.

### Authenticating with a temporary password

This tutorial shows a User authenticating with a temporary password and setting a new one.

### Configuring Authenticator App for 2FA

This tutorial shows the QR code displayed for Authenticator setup as well as using a manual code for setup without the use of the QR code.

### Authenticating with 2FA

This tutorial shows authentication with the use of a 2FA code.

> **Note**
>
> The option to skip entering the 2FA code on trusted devices may not appear based on restrictions placed by your IT department.

## Connecting With Single Sign-On (SSO) Authentication

Follow the steps below to authenticate before connecting:

1. Launch OpenVPN Connect.
2. Toggle the OpenVPN Profile that you want to connect.

   The Connect application will display a prompt.
3. Your default web browser will open with the familiar SSO authentication screen. Authenticate as you usually do with any other SSO-enabled corporate web application.

   > **Note**
   >
   > If your authentication is still valid, authentication will be skipped.
4. After successful authentication, you will see **You're connected!** in the web browser.

   OpenVPN Connect will display the **Connected** screen.
