# Set the Default Max Devices Per User

The **Default Max Devices Per User** setting limits how many devices each user can use to connect to the WPC.

This default value applies to newly created User Groups. Administrators can override this value for individual User Groups to allow users in a specific group to connect from more or fewer devices.

The default value is **three devices per user**.

If you want to change the default value, follow the steps below:

1. Sign in to your WPC's Administration portal at your **Cloud ID** address (for example, `yourcompany.openvpn.com`).
2. Navigate to **Settings \> Users**.
3. Click **Edit**, which is located in the top corner.
4. In the **Default Max Devices Per User** section, enter the maximum number of devices allowed per user.

   > **Note**
   >
   > Newly created User Groups will see the updated **Default Max Devices Per User** value. You can also choose to apply the new limit to existing User Groups.
5. Click **Update**.
6. Review the details in the confirmation dialog box.
7. Click **Confirm**.

> **Note**
>
> This setting was previously called **Device Allowance**. It is now labeled **Default Max Devices Per User** in the CloudConnexa portal.
