# Set Private DNS Servers

CloudConnexa uses its own DNS server by default and allows you to [add DNS records](https://openvpn.net/cloud-docs/owner/settings/settings---dns/set-dns-records.md) to it. If you prefer to use your own private DNS server, you can configure CloudConnexa to use it.

Ensure your DNS server IP addresses are accessible when connected to your WPC. You can either configure your DNS servers as Hosts and connect them to the WPC directly, or make them accessible by connecting the private network they are on to the WPC.

To set private DNS servers, follow the steps below:

1. Sign in to your WPC's Administration Portal at your **Cloud ID** address (for example, `yourcompany.openvpn.com`).
2. Navigate to **Settings → DNS**.
3. Select **Edit DNS Server Details**.
4. Set **DNS Servers** to **Custom**.
   - Server configuration fields are displayed.
5. Enter the IPv4 addresses of your Primary and Secondary DNS Servers.
6. Select **Update**.
7. Ensure the details shown in the confirmation dialog box are correct, and select **Confirm**.
