# Manage your subscription

## Subscription Management

Every WPC is associated with a subscription, which is automatically created as soon as you provide a Cloud ID to create a WPC. The Owner of the WPC is the only person who can manage the subscription.

A subscription has the following key attributes other than the associated WPC:

- The pricing plan in use. This is the Free plan to start with.
- The number of connections.
- The billing cycle (monthly or yearly).

The subscription can be edited to change the number of connections and type of billing cycle at any time.

> **Note**
>
> There is an option to start with a Free Trial, which allows you to try a larger number of connections for free for a period of time before being charged.

Three places in the Administration Portal allow you to modify the subscription associated with your WPC. They are:

1. From the **Capacity** widget of the Status screen. Use the **Get More** hyperlink found under the number of connections.
2. Use the **Start 14 Days Free Trial** button in the top bar when you are on the free plan.
3. Choose **Edit Subscription** from the choices provided when you expand the bottom item on the navigation sidebar representing the logged-in person's account.

## Subscription notification settings

Email alerts are sent to the WPC's Owner and Administrators based on configured settings. Refer to [Notification Settings](https://openvpn.net/cloud-docs/owner/settings/settings---notifications/about-notification-settings.md).
