Yes, it is possible to have fewer than ten connections on a license key.
BYOL licensing system
Minimum Connections: A license key must contain five connections for the "Bring Your Own License" (BYOL) system. A subscription with two connections, equivalent to an unlicensed Access Server, is free. While you can purchase higher numbers of VPN connections, the minimum remains five.
Subscription License: The software subscription license model allows you to activate a single subscription on multiple Access Servers, meaning they can share the same subscription.
AWS licenses
5 Connections Option: You can use the AWS tiered instances licensing system on Amazon AWS. One of the instances offered on the AWS Marketplace includes a license for five connections. This instance comes with a 7-day free trial, allowing you to try the product before incurring software licensing costs. However, please note that running an AWS instance does incur costs from Amazon AWS.
