Connect to Access Server from Android with OpenVPN Connect, our official VPN client app.
Access Server supports VPN connections from Android devices using a VPN client app. Our Android app, OpenVPN Connect, makes it easy to do that.
Install OpenVPN Connect
You can download OpenVPN Connect for free from the Google Play Store. To install and connect to the Access Server, follow the instructions in our OpenVPN Connect documentation: Install OpenVPN Connect on Android.
Tip
Ensure you follow the steps for Access Server. The OpenVPN Connect documentation also provides steps for our cloud product, CloudConnexa, and generic OpenVPN servers.
Other OpenVPN clients
Access Server is compatible with the OpenVPN protocol — an open-source standardized protocol. Apps that support the OpenVPN protocol can connect to Access Server.
The OpenVPN for Android app on the Play Store works well with Access Server. It's targeted at advanced users and based on the community version of OpenVPN, which the community considers their "semi-official" client app.
Other OpenVPN clients on the Play Store are likely compatible, but we have no information about them here.
