Thanks for your replies.

Nope. The site is reached by IP (10.8.0.1 on the OpenVPN subnet). We don't
use a DNS at all for the VPN.

Rob, I'll ask users to hit F5 whenever they have the problem to see if it
works. I would then insert a delay before loading the page.
