Good day all,

I’m starting and stopping OpenVPN 2.1 on Solaris 10 using legacy run scripts in /etc/rc2.d, as follows

S99openvpn:

#!/bin/sh

cd <base path>

./openvpn server.conf

K30openvpn

#!/bin/sh

processOpenvpn=`pgrep –f “./openvpn server.conf”`; export processOpenvpn

kill –s SIGTERM $processOpenvpn

Apart from better checking in K30openvpn to ensure that the openvpn server process is dead, would you consider this an acceptable was of starting and stopping OpenVPN 2.1?

Cheers,

Etienne
