Hi!

This happened again :

Wed Feb 21 10:40:17 2007 UDPv4 link local (bound): [undef]:1194
Wed Feb 21 10:40:17 2007 UDPv4 link remote: 85.15.44.99:4500
Wed Feb 21 10:40:21 2007 Peer Connection Initiated with 85.15.44.99:4500
Wed Feb 21 10:40:21 2007 NOTE: unable to redirect default gateway -- Cannot obtain current remote host address
Wed Feb 21 10:40:21 2007 Initialization Sequence Completed

I emphasize that the addres was obviously correctly resolved to 85.15.44.99 *

Is OpenVPN version 2.0.9 support any more ?
Can I use a v2.1 client to connect to a 2.0.9 server ? Can it the use the same config file ?

* - this not the real IP address , I changed it for the purpose of posting to a public list

Regards,
David

Subject: Not reconnected after network outage

Hi!

After a network outage OpenVPN does not reconnect correctly.
I have OpenVPN 2.0.9 , server is linux (OpenWRT 0.9 RC5), client is Windows 2003.

This is the log on client, the network was out at 10:26 and it came back at 10:40.
As one can see , it reconnected, but not correctly. Then I sent a HUP signal to it (F3)
and then it worked.

(replaced private data with "x", "y", "xy")

The message "NOTE: unable to redirect default gateway -- Cannot obtain current remote host address"

PS: I see  xy.dyndns.org is a valid address. It is not mine. Don't access it.
