  • Subject: [Openvpn-users] openvpn vs redhat7.1

Hi,

I have a redhat 7.1 box, with an own-built 2.6.21 kernel (from a
debian etch box). I created tun device (mknod /dev/net/tun c 10 200),
I compiled succesfully an openvpn-2.0_rc16, but I got this messages:
Thu Jul 5 11:45:36 2007 us=547337 Note: Cannot ioctl TUNSETIFF tap: File descriptor in bad state (errno=77)
Thu Jul 5 11:45:36 2007 us=547337 Note: Attempting fallback to kernel 2.2 TUN/TAP interface
Thu Jul 5 11:45:36 2007 us=547337 Cannot allocate TUN/TAP dev dynamically

What can I read, do... ?

# ls -l /dev/net
crw-r--r-- 1 root root 10, 200 Jul 4 22:17 tun

my configfile:
port 5015
dev tap
secret /etc/openvpn/modem.key
ifconfig 192.168.232.251 255.255.255.0
remote 12.34.56.78
ifconfig-nowarn
ping 10
comp-lzo
verb 4
