Multicast usually doesn't know/care if it has been routed or not, 
although the sender can set a limit on the number of hops it wants to 
permit.  Depending on the OS, you may or may not have multicast routing 
tools at your disposal.  They seem kind of weak on Linux but if you want 
to define the possible senders, groups and interfaces you can set up 
static routes with smcroute.
