Including some indication of latency/distance during the test would be
very helpful.

When discussing "long fat pipes"  the challenge is keeping the "pipe"
full.  Standard ACKs and windows tend to cause large gaps in data
transmissions preventing optimal utilization of "long fat pipes."

Selective ACK (SACK) and other techniques need to used in high latency
situations to minimize the problems associated with "long fat pipes."
