Try: ./configure --with-ssl-headers=/usr/include/openssl/

If configure doesn't find it automatically, you may need to specify the
lib dir for openssl as well:

- --with-ssl-lib=DIR


Don't know where they are on your system though. Try and locate libssl.*, or look at the output for rpm -ql openssl (if your using a rpm based linux and installed it by rpm that is).
