Does anyone have any suggestions of which Linux distro to use for an OpenVPN aggregator? Maybe some past experieces, hits, pro/cons, or preferences?

Should SE linux be utilized??????

I'd say go with the one you're most familiar and confortable with. I still havn't stopped using Slackware because that's what I know inside out. Accually I've made my own "distro" based on a mix of FloppyFW and Slackware and put it on a bootable CD with config on a floppy, which I just clone to create a new firewall.

I'm sure there are other "better" distros out there, but when setting up a firewall and/or VPN gateway, knowing the O/S you're dealing with is VERY important.

You shouldn't start learning a new O/S or distro on the most security sensative box in your network.
