It might do some good to run those binaries through UPX if you're
concerned more about disk space than RAM usage. (Have they been stripped?)
Yes they are stripped with strip -R .note -R .comment <file>. Runnig UPX on
the binaries wouldn't much help since the files are stored inside a bz2 tar
file that is decompressed into a tmpfs filesystem while booting. Running
UPX before and trying to bz2 the files won't make any much difference.
