[Openvpn-users] Still a problem using OpenVPN 2.0 beta 15 on XP

I installed the above package on Windows XP, SP2. Installation and
everything seems to go fine (including the TAP adapter showing up in the
network control window). When trying to connect to my server most of it
is working; only towards the end, when information is to be given to the
TAP adapter on my XP machine, things fail.

I made a quick little program that shows all the adapters (both real and
virual) on my XP box, and it appears that the TAP adapter is not
available in that list. All my other adapters (ethernet, wireless,
VMWare virtual adapters) show up in the list, but not the TAP adapter.
When during settin up the connection, information is to be passed to the
virtual adapter, it is not found, and hence the setting up fails.

Has anyone else seen this problem ? Is there a solution for it ?

Below an excerpt of the log file that is generated when I am trying to
establish my VPN connection.
The 2nd line shows that the adapter is not found, and the setting of
IP/netmask fails.
