Built on a transparent open-source code through the OpenVPN open source project, OpenVPN Access Server is a self-hosted business VPN solution. Deployed on Linux, Access Server delivers an enterprise VPN solution for businesses of all sizes, providing a securely encrypted connection to private networks over unsecured public internet. With this single solution, you can protect business data communications, secure IoT resources, implement access control and network segmentation, and provide encrypted remote access to on-premise, hybrid, and public cloud resources. Access Server uses secure authentication methods such as PAM, RADIUS, LDAP, and SAML, and can be deployed for users via the OpenVPN client software across multiple platforms and devices. Access Server can accommodate Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile OS (Android and iOS) environments.
A VPN server terminates VPN tunnels and routes the traffic encapsulated in the VPN tunnels. If you are using a self-managed VPN solution like Access Server, you can choose a physical server, or your VPN server can be hosted in cloud environments. VPN server resources can help you simplify setting up your own private server. Alternatively, you can choose a cloud-delivered VPN service, like CloudConnexa.
