If your OpenVPN install on Windows is hanging, the two things you should check are: 1) Check the RunOnce registry key is there (as per info at http://openvpn.net/faq.html ) 2) If you are using the windows installer, and it has hung with no way of stopping it, you need to do the following. Ctrl-Alt-Del then select Task Manager. Select the OpenVPN install process, and kill it. Reboot to unlock access to some of the Open VPN files. Then manually delete the OpenVPN directories (usually c:\Program Files\OpenVPN. Go into Start-Control Panel-System. Hardware tab, Device Manager. Select Tap-Win32 adapter, right click, and Uninstall.
