 Tried the following... Everything OK.  Can't ping but using WindoseXP explorer
I can navigate to the "missing" computer.

Stan,

It could just be the ICMP states in the 'cheap' routers.

Since ICMP has no 'port' like udp/tcp, the router can only map the local
address, so if you ping the same destination outbound through the router, from
two different IP address, the second IP ping will fail until the (60 second?)
ICMP mapping timeout occurs in the router.

Try your test more slowly, maybe everything is actually working.
