Hi there , this is my problem before : LAN a ---L2 Foundry Switch A VLAN Port1---L2 Foundry Switch A VLAN Port2 --- LAN b but now LAN a and LAN b arent in the same physical area anymore , so we need this : LAN a --- L2 Foundry Switch A VLAN Port 1 --------eth0:eth1 (linux box 1 )OPENVPN Transparent TAP bridge ( linux box 2 ) eth1:eth0-------- L2 Foundry Switch B VLAN Port 1 --- LAN b what should i do ? everything should be transparent . how am i supposed to take the whole traffic from box 1's eth0 while this is not really its traffic ? promisc mode maybe ? but how ? give me a sample or instruction list . both lan a and b have same subnet , we just need to forget about physical distance and everything should remains the same . and again , how about VLAN support in kernel , is it needed ? tun support too ? any hint is appreciated ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
