[Openvpn-users] static key mini howto works, but client/server doesn't. version 2.0.9

Greetings,

I'm using a Windows 2003 Server for my "server", and a laptop running
"Windows Xp Home Edition" for my client.

I've tried for many hours to get the client server mode to work. Once in a
while it works, but it is not repeatable at all.

But, please note that the simple "static key mini howto" works fine. Very
repeatable. I can repeatable make a connection, map Windows share drives,
everything is great.

But I need to have multiple clients connected to the server.

So, I tried to follow the "howto" and sample client and server config files,
making only the minimum changes required for my ip addresses.

Creating the certificates seemed to go smoothly.

My logs seem to indicate that everything is working fine, and I see the
connection info and route info on my client computer, but when I try to
"ping" the server, it times out.

Note that "pinging" the server with the "simple static key mini howto" works
fine, and I can map Windows share drives, etc.

I can't think of anyway to track this problem down.

Doesn't the fact that the "static key mini howto" works so well, indicate
that my firewall setups are OK?

Thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions!
