I reviewed the configurations line by line and also ran with and without iptables active. Most of my work was with the firewall off, I only turned it back on once all was working. Once I have the Fedora box ready to be retired, I'll try back reving the kernel and retesting. I do not discount some other differences in the distos, but what else would effect how packets pass thru a given Linux system?
