Very well. Although I haven't heard of xangelz yet (the name sounds a bit kiddy-like) it surely won't hurt. I believe though that Freenode is widely believed as a more widely used open source software support network. And indeed the Freenode channel does not have operators in the channel. That's one reason it might be helpful to make it official. As soon as the registration is accepted James Yonan can assign people to maintain the channel and play op if necessary.
