[Openvpn-users] CVSNT problems on OpenVPN net

  • Subject: [Openvpn-users] CVSNT problems on OpenVPN net

Hi all,

I have a system looking like this:
1. OpenVPN 2.0.x server running on Gentoo Linux (protocol UDP), kernel 2.6
2. Several Windows machines connecting to the server above.
3. One of the Windows machines runs a CVSNT server (ports 2401-2402) which
the other Windows machines will connect to with cvs clients.

I can ping machines from each other on the VPN subnet, I can netcat
between them on port 2401 (only tried tcp). But I cannot login to the
CVSNT server from the other machines, the cvs login times out. And this
all worked fine when the machines were on the same physical subnet!

I've tried stopping iptables on the linux server, but that didn't work
either. There is no firewall limitations on the Windows machines (as it
worked fine before).

Question is if running OpenVPN in UDP mode is the culprit?

I need the OpenVPN solution to work as there are other non-resident
developers needing access to the CVSNT server.

TIA
/Rob
