Evening, as I'm more used to IPSEC than OpenVPN I'm not completely familiar with the differences of client and server roles in OpenVPN. In IPSEC all peers are equal. So can a host be both a server and a client when using OpenVPN? Example: Our company runs an OpenVPN server so employees can connect and work from home. They are the server. I am the client. Not I have friends who want to access my computer securely. So I'll probably be the server and they are the clients now. Do I need to set up a second instance? Like having /etc/openvpn/server.conf and /etc/openvpn/client.conf (Debian's init.d script seems to start an instance for every *.conf file found there)?
