Hi
@ll,
I am running OpenVPN
successfully for a longer period now and everything
worked fine before. I went for vacation and returned yesterday.
Unfortunately my OpenVPN connection does not work anymore. I checked the log
(verb=3) on my server machine and also on the client machine. There are
following errors listed:
[...]
Local Options hash
(VER=V4): '360696b6'
Expected Remote
Options hash (VER=V4): '13a273ab'
TLS Error: TLS key
negotiation failed to occur within 60 seconds (check your network
connectivity)
TLS Error: TLS
handshake failed
[...]
The machine with
OpenVPN-Server was not switched off during my holidays, it was permanently
on.
The client machine
was turned off completely during this period.
I let my server on
because I wanted to access some data via FTP while being on
vacation.
After I returned
(yesterday) I am getting the listed error. It's strange: I DID CHANGE NOTHING
on
these machines,
neither OpenVPN configs/settings nore any firewall settings.
I rechecked firewall
logs, but nothing is blocked. Everything works fine. I tried also to switch
both
firewalls off, but
no result.
What the hell is
going on there? Can someone help? Maybe my WindowsXP machines did a
patch
download? Or maybe
clock difference?? Could this be a reason? If so, how should I debug and fix
that?
Hope someone can
help as I urgently need to establish the connection.
Many thanks in
advance and best regards,
Sloop.
